The Single-Masted Sailing Yacht is a ship in DSS 3, added sometime before September 29th, 2018 but the exact date is unconfirmed. She was modelled by CaptainMarcin.

Information[]

A sailing yacht is a leisure craft that uses sails as its primary means of propulsion. A yacht may be a sail or power vessel used for pleasure, cruising, or racing. There is no standard definition, so the term applies here to sailing vessels that have a cabin with amenities that accommodate overnight use. To be termed a "yacht", as opposed to a "boat", such a vessel is likely to be at least 33 feet (10 m) in length and have been judged to have good aesthetic qualities. Sailboats that do not accommodate overnight use or are smaller than 30 feet (9.1 m) are not universally called yachts.

Exterior Description[]

The Single-Masted is a short cruising yacht, at only 9.3 meters long with an extremely compact design. The exterior of the boat is small and sleek with a white hull outlined in black, with a dark keel which sports a single, large underwater fin. The stern of the ship has a depression with a planked floor and three seats, including the captain's which is the last seat on the right. The majority of the ship is covered by the raised area housing the cabin, lined with three windows on each side and atop of it, the single, grey mast. The railings terminate with a gap at the stern to make space for a small ladder and the wooden lever for the rudder. Other minor details adorn the ship, including assorted windows, hatches, pipes and various systems and modules used in the rigging.

Interior Description[]

On the deck is a wooden entrance. Beyond this lies a very small galley on the left, and a navigator's station with two black screens. In front of the compact galley is an L-shaped bench with a table and detailed shelves behind, while facing opposite is a simpler, straight bench. Both have navy blue cushioning. Beyond this main area is the bathroom which has a minimalist bathroom with a toilet and sink with a mirror. on the left and right sides. The cabin terminates in a cramped, tapered bedroom area with the same navy blue details.

Usage[]

The Single-Masted is a charter ship and makes 31,200 Credits/Hour on her best route, the "Ushuaia" charter from Ronne.

Skins[]

The Single-Masted has one extra skin, the "Original Paint" skin.

  • The modeller, CaptainMarcin, owns the ship in real life which is called Reggae. Only CaptainMarcin can name the ship "Reggae" and when he does it changes the text font on the ship (see gallery). Originally, everyone could name the ship Reggae and see the easter egg for themself
